I took the Pew Research Center test and it said that I am an Opportunity Democrat. I believe that everyone should be given an equal opportunity to be successful in this country. I think that while the United States has made a lot of progress in giving everyone equal rights we still have a ways to go. I think the wealthy should pay higher taxes then the poor so that everyone can get at least decent healthcare. Also we should have stricter regulations on what people can do to the environment, but I do think besides environmental regulations business should have a decent amount of freedom. Every American should have the right to vote. Everyone should have a say in the government so that the people get what they want and not those at the top. I also think the right to free education is important. Education empowers people to get good jobs and make this country stronger. If education costs money only the rich will be able to afford it and the poverty cycle will be even stronger. I also think the right to the American Dream is important. Everyone here should have a chance to live a great life no matter what there gender, race, or sexuality is.
